Welcome to Malaysia !
Malaysia
is one of the most pleasant, hassle-free countries to visit in
southeast Asia. It's buoyant and wealthy, and has moved towards a
pluralist culture based on a vibrant and interesting fusion of
Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous cultures and
customs
Malaysia has
fervently embraced modern technology -- it boasts two of the world's
tallest skyscrapers and a huge cyber center for computer businesses.
But it still has some of the world's most remote jungle (in Sabah
and Sarawak), one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant old ports
(Georgetown) and an atmospheric colonial hill station (the Cameron
Highlands). Even in Kuala Lumpur, the capital, which bristles with
ambitious new building projects, you can still find exotic markets
and plenty of local color. As a result, travelers to Malaysia can
easily ratchet up or down the levels of adventure and comfort they
want to experience.
The Capital
Kuala Lumpur, which is also referred to as
' KL ', is the capital of Malaysia. This destination can be
found located on the western coast of Peninsula Malaysia. The area
is considered to be a multicultural city where the economy relies on
commerce, finance and tourism. When you make a trip to this
location, you will not be disappointed with all of the things
available to you
When you stay in Kuala
Lumpur, take the time to sample some of the area's cuisine,
which ranges from Asian to Western. "Pasar Malam" ( Night Market)
in Chinatown offers many restaurants and street-side cafes to
check out, featuring a variety of seafood and Chinese dishes. This
is also a nice place to conduct a bit of sightseeing. Maybe you
would like to do a bit of shopping at one of the many markets,
including the Central Market and Chinatown. You can find Chinatown
in the area of Jalan Petaling. Imitation handbags to herbal remedies
await your curious eyes. When you are done browsing the markets, you
can head for a mall. Make a trip to City Square and Ampang Plaza for
more shopping adventures.
